B.Gloger: Continuous Innovation and Client Delight with agile delivery of products and services

Scrum and Kanban offer software development firms a clear concept of dealing very fast with client demands. Continuous delivery of the most important feature sets of products, iteration by iteration, created a tremendous amount of value for companies like Salesforce.com, Google, Microsoft and other companies worldwide. Scrum started 15 years ago with a cool idea by Jeff Sutherland. Now, in 2012, the rest of the business world starts to take notice. And again it happens in the USA first.

This talk will show how you can re-shape Scrum to its core values and basic framework, to make it understandable and interesting for non-IT people and how to take Scrum beyond software development.

Boris Gloger will tell the story of Scrum, based on its core ideas and values – from the early beginnings to the first successes – and he will again re-invent Scrum for business people.
Boris Gloger is the European Scrum-pioneer. He has been directly trained by Ken Schwaber and was certified as the first Scrum Trainer. Boris is constantly adapting and developing the Scrum practices for use in different cultural areas of the world and has set standards in the German-speaking and Scandinavian part of Europe as well as in Brazil and South-Africa. Besides educating trainers, teaching teams and individuals in the use of Scrum, Boris and his team of consultants put the emphasis on the organizational changes and transformations that come along with Scrum implementations. Beyond the boundaries of the method itself Boris – as a consultant, author and speaker- always considers the company-wide implications and impacts of Scrum.
